Red Dry Mature Wine, 2012

Bordeaux-style red, a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this Meritage wine is one of those that have traditionally been a feature of Moldova. The blending shares and methods have been thoroughly developed for decades. During the Soviet Union times, the communist party leaders preferred Moldovan Meritage reds to famous Bordeaux wines, mostly for a delightful taste but also because they refused to pay more for the same quality, called then “Moldovan expression of Bordeaux wines”.
